Lucca can rightly be considered the capital of Italian comics as hosts, since 1966 The International Exhibition of Comics . Recently, it was finally opened to the public National Museum of Comics , housed in a prestigious building in the historic center. This is the third museum of its kind in Europe after the French and Belgian Angouleme to Brussels. This permanent exhibition will allow fans dive into the wonderful world of comics. Until May 25, 2008, the Museum will host the exhibition entitled "... when the West arrived in Lucca" , in which the myth of the American frontier is graphically represented by some of the greatest Italian comic-strip.
